Winsted Whalers 8   Candlewood Kraken 0

Rain would pour over the field right before game time, leaving some puddles and making the field questionable. A lot of teams would have canceled right there on the spot. However, the Whale LIVE for the water. It would just so happen the game was against the Kraken, a good ol fashion whale v kraken showdown. And it would be just that.

All through the game, up until the bottom 6th, the score stayed 0-0. Quinn McGuire was on the mound for the Kraken and he was dicing Whalers left and right. Innings 1-5 gave him 8 Ks, no runs, 2 hits and 2 walks. On the other hand, Adam Tedesco started for the Whale and through 5 as well, he allowed 0 runs, 4 hits, 3 Ks, and 1 HBP. The first five innings might have taken an hour and a half at most.

Bottom 6th, the Whale took the offensive and scored 8 runs. The first 6 batters for the Whale put the ball in play, and with some errors, put up 4 runs. Tedesco would strike out with the bases loaded (no surprise there), one out. A flyout would follow, two outs. Following that, Jay Torres singled, Steele Brobston doubled with a one-bounce 380ft shot, and Johnny Lippincott cleared the bases with another follow up double that was 3 ft short of the tennis courts in right field. WR, if you know you know. The 6th inning would tally 8 runs. Jay Torres came in the top 6th to pitch and had a job to do for the top 7th. Allowing a single from McGuire to start off the inning, he would strike out the next two and end the game on a ground ball to short. Steele Brobston would go 2-4 (2 Doubles) and Johhny Lippincott would go 2-4 (Single, Double). Whale 8 Kraken 0

Austin Brochu first hit odds are still at +400.
