Tri- Town Trojans took Wednesday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 3-2 walk-off victory over Waterbury at Litchfield Community Field. The game was tied at two in the bottom of the seventh when Russ Sears singled, scoring one run. The pitching was strong on both sides. Tri- Town Trojans pitchers struck out six, while Waterbury sat down 13. A single by Anthony Foley put Tri- Town Trojans on the board in the bottom of the first. Waterbury tied the game in the top of the sixth thanks to a single by Zay, and a fielder’s choice by Zack. Miles Scribner earned the win for Tri- Town Trojans. The hurler gave up eight hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out six and walking none. Spencer Fox took the loss for Waterbury . The starter went six and one-third innings, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits, striking out 13 and walking four. Sears, Foley, Austin Patenaude, and Steve Harrison each collected one hit for Tri- Town Trojans. Sears and Foley each drove in one run for Tri- Town Trojans. Jack Schengen and Zay were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Waterbury while hitting back-to-back. Zack and Zay were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Waterbury .
