Bethlehem Plowboys 13 Amenia Monarchs 2
The Plowboys brought the W back to CT with them, taking a 13-2 win over the Amenia Monarchs Thursday evening on a muggy New York afternoon. Carsten Donovan got the start for the Plow, throwing 4 innings, striking out 1 and allowing 2 earned runs. The Plow bullpen had their own throwback Thursday with Blaise Russo and Sam Williams throwing clean innings in relief after both not touching a mound for 2 years plus. But the story of the game was, the bats, Jarrett Michaels hit a towering 2 run home run in the 3rd to give the Plow a 5-0 lead. Michael’s, Brett Davino, Nate Cormier, and Jon Wilson all had 4 hits a piece and 2 plus runs scored. Ryan Ponte was 2-6 with 2 booming doubles, and high school catcher, turned PO Sawyer Gravel turned back the clock and caught for the plow and went 1-3 with 2 walks and a long single off the base of the fence! Nick Reilly and Gavyn Queen had 2/3 hits for the Monarchs. Sam Foley had the other with a long double.
Game Notes: Ty Harkness will be played on the 15 day IL after taking a fastball right off the tailbone, Kyle Banche needs to work on his throws in the field – PO no more, and Ryan Ponte will be disciplined for not running out a double play ball – punishment will be handled internally.

Valley Ducks 1 Wolcott Scrappers 0
The Quack bounce back in a dry (FINALLY) pitching duel against the tough customer @wolcott.scrappers.
Starting pitchers Jacobi Bouchard and Aiden Bisallion DEALT, both going 6.0 IP strong for their respective teams. Bouchard (W, 4 H, 5 K, 7 BB) heroic effort started with leaving Scrappers stranded after threatening to score early before settling in (bases loaded with 1 out in the 1st / runners on 2nd and 3rd in the 2nd). Bisallion (L, 3 H, 10 K, ER, BB) frustrated hitters and was nails on the mound, but unfortunately took the loss in this battle of the lefties.
BIG Nick Forino (2 for 3, 2 2B) had the hot bat for the Duckies, including a loud double off reliever Devin Fuegen in the top of the 7th, which set up the go-ahead RBI single for Adrian Acosta.
The Quack advance to (6-7), while Scrappers drop a game to (9-4) 🦆
