Miles Wilson drove in four runs on two hits to lead Tri- Town Trojans past Naugatuck  20-0 on Sunday at Litchfield Community Field. Wilson singled in the first inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the fourth inning, scoring two. Tri- Town Trojans got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Jon McNeils singled, scoring one run, Wilson singled, scoring two runs, Bryon Carr hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, an error scored three runs, and Willy Yahn tripled, scoring one run. Tri- Town Trojans scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning. Tom Troy drew a walk, scoring one run, Luis Muller singled, scoring two runs, Yahn singled, scoring one run, and Coleby Bunnell doubled, scoring two runs. Tri- Town Trojans scored six runs on three hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Muller tripled, scoring one run, Austin Patenaude hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Wilson doubled, scoring two runs, Anthony Foley drew a walk, scoring one run, and Troy drew a walk, scoring one run. Bobby Chatfield earned the win for Tri- Town Trojans. The lefty surrendered one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking two.

Tri- Town Trojans accumulated 10 hits in the game. Yahn went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Tri- Town Trojans in hits. Muller collected two hits for Tri- Town Trojans in three at bats. Troy paced Tri- Town Trojans with four walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up 11 walks for the game. Tri- Town Trojans ran wild on the base paths, collecting five stolen bases for the game. Tri- Town Trojans didn’t commit a single error in the field. Wilson had the most chances in the field with eight.

Amenia Monarchs 7   Valley Ducks 3

After a field change, the Monarchs defeated the Ducks 7–3 at Tyrell Middle School. Colby Dunlop got the start on the bump and went 8 innings, allowing 2 unearned runs while striking out 11.The Monarchs were led offensively by Lincoln Taylor, who went 4-for-5 with a double and 2 RBIs. Ryan Lynn and Colby Dunlop each added two hits. Lynn also made a running catch in center field to save a run.Manager Nick Reilly was forced to catch, but held his own—finishing with just one bruise, one passed ball, and throwing out a runner at third to end the game. For the Ducks, John McMahon and Alex Mentone each had two hits, with McMahon also driving in two runs.

Candlewood Kraken 11  Torrington Thunder 1

Nick Lobuono collected four hits in five at bats, as Candlewood Kraken defeated Torrington Thunder 11-1 on Sunday at New Milford High School. Lobuono hit a home run to right field in the third inning, doubled in the sixth inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the eighth inning. Ryan Bohrman struck out 13 batters on the day. The right-handed pitcher also gave up two hits and zero runs over six innings while walking two. A single by Danny Reid put Candlewood Kraken on the board in the bottom of the first. Four more Candlewood Kraken runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 5-0. Braydon Stellato doubled, scoring one run, Reid doubled, scoring one run, and Lobuono homered to right field, scoring two runs. Brady Doherty took the loss for Torrington Thunder. The right-handed pitcher went three innings, giving up five runs on four hits, striking out two and walking none. Peter Coniglio and Connor Corcoran each appeared in relief for Candlewood Kraken.

Candlewood Kraken had 13 hits in the game. Danny Reid, Jake Coniglio, and Braydon Stellato each collected multiple hits for Candlewood Kraken. Lucas Kopp paced Candlewood Kraken with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Jake Coniglio stole two bases. Candlewood Kraken stole four bases in the game. Kyle Green, Robert Anton, and Angel Santana each collected one hit for Torrington Thunder. Yadiel Santana led Torrington Thunder with one run batted in.
