Bethlehem Plowboys 7  CT Sliders 2

The Plow slides its way into another W over the CT Sliders 7-2. Brett Wilkes started the game for Bethlehem going 3 strong striking out 4 and allowing 1 run on the day. Kyle Banche would relieve going 4 strong as well allowing 1 run, striking out 3 batters. Dan Keckler closed the door pitching the final 2 innings striking out 1 and allowing 2 base runners. Bethlehem took the lead early getting 4 runs in the first all on full count walks. Isaiah Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Jon Wilson added a RBI a piece as the game went on to pace the plow lead. The Sliders RBI came from Josh Dobratz and AJ Lorenzetti. Ian Glover came in relief in the first inning and pitched a strong 8.2 innings of baseball as well, allowing 3 runs striking out 6 batters to keep the Sliders around.

Canton Crushers 8   Burlington Hunters 3

Angel Valentin goes the distance as the Canton Crushers defeat the Burlington Hunters on a hot Sunday afternoon in Burlington. Canton took an early lead and never looked back Ben Sullivan lead the Crusher attack with 3 hits including a triple, double and a single. Jeff Mulhal added to the attack with a solo home run and 2 RBIs on the day. Angel kept the Hunters off balance who actually collected 12 hits on the day. Andrew Bunger, Ty Morin, Sean O’Donnell and Tim Kroll all collected 2 hits. Both teams still enjoyed a great day of baseball and celebrating America with a cookout hosted by the Hunters after the game

Valley Ducks 6  Torrington Thunder 2

Jacobi Bouchard was once again dominate pitching his was to another victory for the Ducks. Kyle Daddona started the scoring with a sac fly to score Tino Ciarlo after the lead off man reached 3rd from an in-house sac groundout from Chris Oliwa. Torrington would tie it up in the 3rd on a sac fly from Melvin Alvarez. The Ducks would regain momentum in the bottom of the 3rd and not look back, scoring another 4 runs in the 4th as well. Nick Forino had 2 RBI’s and Ryan Shiel would go 2-4 at the plate in his triumphant return from coaching. Bryce Adamski would go on and hit 3-4 for the Thunder. (Tyler Leopizzo also continued helping his dominate on base percentage by getting hit once again)

Amenia Monarchs 7  Naugatuck Scorpions 4

Monarchs travel to Naugatuck and get the job done winning 7-4. Amenia would start Nick Reilly on rubber in his first outing since opening day. He would go 3.1 innings and give up 3 runs (2 earned ) and 3 strikeouts before handing the game over to Alex Marino. Marino went 3.2 innings of 1 run baseball to seal the win.  Naugatuck was up 4-3 in the top of the sixth when high school PO Joe Ferrari who would hit a hard ground ball that would score 2 runs and put Amenia up 5-3Amenia would tack on 2 more runs in the 7th with 2rbi single by Nick Reilly.

Amenia will head over to New Milford to take on the Valley Kraken Thursday night.
