Winsted Whalers 7 Valley Ducks 6

He would only allow 3 earned runs making a run for the best Whale start of the season. The Whale offense was full of energy this game, tacking on two in the first, one in the third, and three in the fourth to make 6 runs. Jay Torres (2-3: 2S,W), Johnny Lippincott (1-3: S, SAC), and Austin Brochu (2-4: 2S) would be involved in all those runs. The Ducks scored in the 6th inning by C. Olious with a single, followed by two walks, and a mashed double by N. Forino to get them trailing by one. A. Hinkle would hit a double to score Forino to tie the game; 5 run deficit gone. All tied up going into bottom 6th, Casey Weingart would get on base by error, Andrew Bilig singling, and Lippincott putting a fly ball to right field, which would drop and Casey scoring, giving the Whale a 1 run lead. Weingart would close the 9,1 and 3 hitter to win the game. Whale 7 Ducks 6.
