Plow wins 10-0 over the Canton Crushers on a drizzly Tuesday afternoon. George “Ohtani” Bielizna took the ball going 4 strong innings striking out 7, and hitting a mammoth home run in the 4th inning to pad his lead. Greg Campbell joined him in the home run parade launching his own. Zach Fenn and Nate Brammer each tossed an inning of work striking out 2 each. Every Plowboy hitter reached base and scored a run on the day, the Crushers were led by Jimmy Spirito who got on base twice. The Plow is back at it tomorrow with another World Series rematch against the Trojans
Naugatuck Nightmare 5   CT Gamecocks 4
Naugatuck Gets their fourth win with a hard fought victory over the Southington Gamecocks. The Naugatuck bats were led by Steve Urbanski (2-3) with 2 walks, Ant Quinones (4-4) and Richie Aviles (2-4) 2rbis. Who helped carry the Nightmares to a 5-4 win. Naugatuck took a 5-2 lead into the bottom of the 7th when Southington led by Simpson (2-3) and Peterson (1-3) got the inning started off with a double and triple . They’d both come around to score to get the game to 5-4 . With the tying run on second, Jay Krajeski would anchor down and strike out the final batter to end the game with a complete game victory . 5-4 win for the Nightmares. In other honorable mentions, Sam Beadle continues to be a 6 ft 3 inch HBP ball magnet as he’s now in double digits for the season. And finally Naugatuck had zero dropped balls in the outfield for the first time in team history.  Shout out to the Gamecocks for a hard fought great game .
