Series tied 1-1; Game 3 Monday 8/4 at 7pm Municipal Stadium

Wolcott Scrappers scored 7 runs in the first 3 innings and went on to defeat the CT Sliders 9-3 to force a win or go home game for both teams tomorrow night, 7pm at Municipal Stadium.
Drew Rocca led the offense with 2 hits, 2runs scored and 2rbi. Dillon Fernandez added 2 hits and a run scored while Nick Sconziano, singled, walked and twice had sac flys to drive in runs. Carson Lentini(1-3) and Devin Fuegen each walked twice and scored 2 runs.  Ben Bianchi battled his way through 6 2/3 innings giving up 2 earned runs. Ethan Stepputtis picked up the save going the final 2 1/3 innings striking out 3.  Pat Raymond has a 2 run double for the Sliders. Simpson threw 7 innings of 4 hit relief to help keep the team with striking distance.

Tri-Town Trojans 4  Valley Ducks 1

Bobby Chatfield struck out eight over five shutout innings as Tri-Town prevailed 4-1 against the Ducks on Sunday in Wolcott. Cooper Johnson had two hits with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base.  Willy Yahn had a double, two runs scored and three stolen bases. Austin Patenaude had a knock, two RBIs and stole a base. Connor Gannon earned the save with four innings in relief, fanning five batters and allowing zero earned runs. Chris Oliwa tossed seven innings for the Ducks, struck out nine and walked two while he recorded a double at the plate. With the series win, Tri-Town will play the Burlington Hunters in Game 1 of the Semifinals Friday night.

Burlington wins series and advances to Semi-Finals vs Tri-Town

The Burlington Hunters advance to the Semi-Finals with their game 2 victory over the Valley Kraken 14-3.  Derek Duffy earned the win on the mound in a 6 inning effort, surrendering 0 earned runs, scattering 4 hits while striking out 9.  All ten hitters in the Hunters Lineup contributed to the cause and had at least 1 hit.  Alex Rauso, George Zaruba, and Jeff Osak all had multi-hit performances.  Tim Krol had a perfect 4/4 day at the plate and Chad Lavelle had a 3 hit game and also drove in 5 runs.  The Hunters take on the Tri-Town Trojans this Friday in a rematch of last year’s semi-finals matchup.
