The Burlington Hunters take game 1 of their quarter final matchup against the Valley Kraken with a final score of 5-0. Tim Krol earned the win on the mound tossing 6 shutout innings while striking out 5. Ty Morin pitched a scoreless 7th and 8th innings and Andrew Hinckley threw a 1-2-3 9th to complete the shutout. Offensively George Zaruba and Chad Lavelle had 3 hit games while Andrew Bunger contributed with 2 hits. However, the decisive blow came from Sean O’Donnell who in the 3rd inning with the bases loaded hit a triple to score all three runs. The Valley Kraken will host Game 2 tomorrow at New Milford High School, first pitch is scheduled for 12pm.
Tri-Town Trojans 7 Valley Ducks 2
Danny McCarty and Bryon Carr combined for five RBIs to lead Tri-Town’s offense in their 7-2 victory over the Valley Ducks on Saturday in Litchfield. Miles Scribner earned the win, tossing eight innings while striking out nine and surrendering one walk. Willy Yahn had a double, two stolen bases and two runs scored. Ryan Shiel recorded a double and scored a run for the Ducks.

Bethlehem Plowboys 17 Amenia Monarchs 4
Nate Cormier collected four hits in five at bats, as The Bethlehem Plowboys defeated The Amenia Monarchs 17-4 on Saturday at Plow . Cormier doubled in the seventh inning, doubled in the second inning, doubled in the sixth inning, and singled in the fourth inning. Bethlehem Plowboys got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Ryan Ponte singled, scoring one run, Chase Belisle drew a walk, scoring one run, and Brice Waldron singled, scoring two runs. The Plow added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Cormier doubled, and Jesse Swartout grounded out, each scoring one run. Colby Dunlop was a man on a mission at the plate as he homered to right field, scoring two runs in the top of the third for the Amenia Monarchs. He would follow this up again with another two run shot in the top of the seventh.
Kyle Banche earned the win for Bethlehem Plowboys. The starting pitcher surrendered five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out nine and walking three. Ryan Reynolds pitched one inning of shutout ball for Bethlehem Plowboys in relief. The right-handed pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out one and walking two. Bethlehem Plowboys tallied 17 hits in the game. Ponte, Swartout, and Cormier each drove in three runs for Bethlehem Plowboys. Jon Wilson and Reynolds each collected multiple hits for Bethlehem Plowboys. Carsten Donovan led Bethlehem Plowboys with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting 13 walks for the game. Donovan, Jarrett Michaels, and Waldron each stole multiple bases for Bethlehem Plowboys. Bethlehem Plowboys stole nine bases in the game. Dunlop went 3-for-3 at the plate and led the team with four runs batted in. Aiden Hartwell collected two hits for Amenia Monarchs in four at bats.
