Ty Boisvert pitched 5 solid innings for the plow and Keegan Daigle pitched well in relief punching out 2 in an inning of work. Burlington Hunters 5  Wolcott Scrappers 2

The Burlington Hunters take their first step out of the Tri-State cellar by notching their first win of the 2025 season in a 5-2 victory over the red hot Wolcott Scrappers.  Ty Morin got the start on the mound for the Hunters and earned the win tossing 5 strong innings, surrendering 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 3.  Andrew Hinckley earned the save and also led the Hunters offensively smacking a loud 2 run home run in the 1st, followed by a double in the 6th.  George Zaruba notched 2 hits while Steve Caruso and Tommaso Tollis contributed with rbi singles to help secure the Hunters win.  The Scrappers received strong performances from Blake Stone and Devin Fuegen who both had rbi singles to drive in the 2 runs for Wolcott. Drew Rocca and Josh Dunne both hit doubles and would eventually score.

Game Highlights include: Ty Morin not only walked away with his first win of the 2025 season, but also an ankle contusion when he was struck with a 95MPH foul ball; he is expected to avoid the IL.  Morin also flirted with a no-hitter until in the 4th inning when his CATCHER Zack Martin let the team know that Morin was throwing a no-hitter; Morin promptly gave up his first hit the next inning.  And finally newcomer Alex Rauso had a strong day at the plate smacking a double, but his best performance was post game filling in as team DJ to help celebrate the win.
