The sliders defeated the new addition valley kraken in a pitchers duel on Thursday evening in Waterbury. Josh Dobratz went 7 strong innings scattering a few hits and striking out 14. The scoring began for the sliders with back to back hits by the twins, Ryan and Ian glover resulting in a 1-0 lead and breaking up what was a perfect game into the fifth inning for new Milford starter Hensel. For new Milford, Mirmina also added two hits.

Naugatuck Scorpions 5   Wolcott Scrappers 3

Sam Jordan pitched 3 innings of 1 hit baseball in relief and Yaddy Gonzalez had two clutch base hits to seal the victory for Naugatuck.

Tri-Town Trojans 8   Canton Crushers 3

A four run 5th inning, including six hits in a row, propelled Tri-Town to victory over Canton. Aiden Donahue had a pair of doubles as well as a pair of RBIs while Coleby Bunnell had a triple and three runs scored. Joey Grantmeyer and Bryon Carr each had two knocks, a run scored, and an RBI. Bobby Chatfield went six inning to collect the win on the bump, allowing two earned runs while striking out four and scattering six hits. M. Rose contributed a 2-RBI triple while S. Dubois had two hits, including a double, and a run scored.

Bethlehem Plowboys 8  Burlington Hunters 4

The Plowboys were hunting beavers Thursday night in Bethlehem and took home an 8-4 win. Kyle Banche went all 7 innings striking out 7 and allowing 2 earned runs. Ty Morin and Taylor Donofrio split the game for the Hunters on the mound. Greg Campbell led the game off in the bottom of the first with a booming rbi double and the Plowboys never looked back. Jesse Swartout, Ian Schmidt, and Matt Mancini all had rbi while Taylor Donofrio shined with the bat for the Beavers lacing a double in the gap and adding an RBI. Ty Morin also knocked in a run as well as Jon Eno bringing in 2 himself. Andrew Bunger hit a ball about 120 MPH off the bat but it unfortunately was hit right at Bethlehem center fielder Jarrett Michaels who himself did the same exact thing at the plate the previous inning.

Amenia Monarchs 9   Valley Ducks 1  (Suspended game)

Lights went out in 6th inning – Per MLB rules – suspended game – will be finished when teams play in July.
