The vipers off to a slow start the 2023 season, came into Tuesdays game against the whalers looking to turn it around. The vipers were led by Collin Hajjar who would have a great day at the plate and on the mound going 2 for 3 getting a walk off double to end the game. Collin would have 2 rbis on the day. Hajjar would throw through 5 innings allowing 0 hits. Joe kwaak, Ajay petrillo, and branden Casanova all with singles on the day. Winsted would get things rolling in the 6th where Gryniuk would lead off with a double to give the Whalers some life. Man on 1st and 2nd no out Jake Santulli takes over in the mound for the vipers and able to get out of the jam. Going into the top of the 7th vipers up one, that wouldn’t be for long as Johnny Lippincott would lead the inning off with a bomb to tie the game up. Tie game going into the bottom of the 7th vipers looking to end the game and not going into extras for the 2nd time in the week. Xavier Gonzalez would lead the inning off with a walk then steal 2nd on a passed ball. Collin hajjar would seal the deal with a shot to center scoring Xavier.
