Wolcott Scrappers 1 New Haven Ravens 0
Blake Stone fired a no hitter with 9ks to lead the Wolcott Scrappers to a 1-0 victory over the New Haven Ravens. Alex James rbi single in the bottom of the 4th was the difference in the game; singles by AJ Martinez and Devin Fuegen set up James for the winning hit. James excelled defensively for the Scrappers while Martinez won himself a pair of batting gloves sponsored by Tater bats with his hit. For the Ravens, Ronnie Laconto was magnificent in defeat tossing a CG 5 hitter with 5Ks in New Havens inaugural game. Erik Colon played an outstanding SS in defeat with several gold-glove caliber plays.
Tri-Town Trojans 2 Canton Crushers 1
Another strong start, timely hitting help Trojans top the Crushers. Dan Livingston went the distance for the Tri-Town Trojans in their 2-1 win over the Canton Crushers on Thursday. The veteran righty struck out four while he scattered six hits and did not allow a walk. Danny McCarty’s RBI single in the top of the 6th was the difference in the ballgame. Austin Patenaude had an RBI single. Jimmy Spirito struck out six while he scattered two hits over five innings. Mike Sullivan singled and scored on an RBI knock by Ben Sullivan.
CT Sliders 2 Valley Kraken 0
In what was mostly a pitcher’s duel, the sliders narrowly edged out the Kraken 2-0 at Washington Park Thursday night. The sliders were lead by a stellar performance by Henry Marino on the mound who went 7 strong innings, striking out twelve and losing a no hit bid in the 7th when Aiden Kare delivered the sole hit for the kraken. Both runs were scored by EJ Quint who led off two rallies with singles ultimately scoring the first run on Kyle Simpson single and later a defensive miscue. Josh dobratz added a double and Ryan Montini also added a hit for the sliders. Aiden Hefele kept the sliders bats controlled striking out six. The sliders look to keep the win streak going Sunday afternoon at the stadium.
Winsted Whalers 12 Naugatuck White Sox 0
Thanks to the Naugatuck coaching staff on pushing the town, the Whale and the White Sox were able to face off after a day of rain. On the mound for his first start as a Whale, Kyle Meholiktook the responsibility of attacking Naugatuck’s offense; and that he did. Going 4 innings, getting yanked after 4 for arm safety, Meholik would allow 0 Runs, 2 hits, 4 walks and strike out 2 getting the Win. Mark Cummings came in relief for the Whale. Raising the coaching staff’s heart rate to a MEASURED 120 bpm, Cummings would also allow no runs. Naugatuck would leave 11 runners stranded all night.
The Whale offensive was still on their warpath from their last game. Scoring 12 runs again this game, most of their lineup would contribute, except for Mikey Babinski 0-4. Johnny Lippincott figured that striking out 3 times in a row was too much. Sending a ball into the darkness over the right field fence, he smashed a three-run shot to put the Whale up 12-0. That would be the last Whale noise that night. Final Score: Whale 12 – White Sox 0.
Torrington Thunder 5 Amenia Monarchs 2

Dylan Gagnon appeared in relief to close out the Thunder victory. Anton, Gordon, and Tristan Cialo each collected one hit for Torrington Thunder. Anton led the team with three runs batted in.
