Burlington Hunters 13   Winsted Whalers 7

The Burlington Hunters defeated the Winsted Whale 13-7 to push their winning streak to 5 games.  Tim Krol got the start on the mound for the Hunters and faced a strong Whale lineup.  Krol would give up 4 runs in the bottom of the first thanks to loud hits from the top of the Whale lineup: Jay Torres, Steele Brobston, Austin Brochu, and Chet Warner.  Krol would settle in to throw 6 innings while striking out 7 to secure the win.  The Hunters bats continued to stay hot thanks to some more Hawk Tuah magic. Josh Sway Lopez and Tommaso Tollis both had multi hit games, George Zaruba had a loud 2 RBI triple, Zack Martin delivered a big 2 RBI single, and unfortunately for his teammates Taylor Donofrio hit another RBI double and would not shut up about it.
Game highlights include: Zack Martin’s new glove is officially not ready for game action; Chad Lavelle runs the bases as well as Becker College legend Sway Lopez; and finally Andrew Bunger once again refused to make a routine play when Taylor Donofrio was on the mound, words were exchanged during the post game show and a future 1:1 basketball game is scheduled to settle the beef between the two.
