Valley Ducks 9   Torrington Thunder 1

The Valley Ducks took down the Torrington Thunder 9-1 on Wednesday night at Fuessenich Park. Jacobi Bouchard continued his stellar start to the 2024 campaign going 5 innings, allowing 3 hits, 0 runs, all while striking out 13 to keep his era at 0.00. The Ducks had 6 players reach base multiple times and were finally able to break out of their offensive slump. Defense also ruled the day as the Ducks made no errors. Kyle Gordon notched 2 knocks for the Thunder.

Thursday June 6

Bethlehem Plowboys 8   CT Sliders 0

The Plowboys took the W over the CT Sliders on a hot, muggy, wet, any type of condition possible night Thursday in Waterbury, winning 8-0. Matt Sibilia continued to shine on the hill for the Plowboys throwing 5 no hit innings, striking out 8 batters. Henry Marino opposed him and threw 5 strong innings as well, only allowing 1 earned run and striking out 10. Josh Dobratz relieved Marino, also throwing 2 innings and allowing 2 earned runs. The game was tied at 0 through 4 innings but the Plowboys got the bats going in the 5th, Jarrett Michaels hit a ball about 400 feet with the bases loaded… in the sky which dropped between 3 sliders scoring all 3 runners. Greg Campbell and Nate Cormier chipped in 2 hits and 2 runs scored apiece and Ian Schmidt roped an RBI single in the 7th. Dylan Chung relieved Sibilia in the 6th, allowing 1 hit and striking out 3 over 2 innings of work to shut the door for Bethlehem.

Wolcott Scrappers 5  Valley Kraken 2

Wolcott defeated the Valley Kraken 5-2 in Wolcott last night as 4 Wolcott hurlers combined on a 5 hitter with 11 strikeouts.
Dillon Fernandez and Jon Diogostine each had rbi singles and Josh Dunne singled, walked and scored 2 runs.
Will Granata had 2 hits for the Kraken and Brayden Stellato pitched 5 innings in relief, allowing 3 hits and 2 runs while striking out 6.
All other games postponed due to weather.
