Tri-Town Trojans 7   Burlington Hunters 2

The Tri-Town Trojans showcased an impressive performance against Burlington, clinching a decisive 7-2 victory. The game was marked by a stellar complete game from pitcher Bobby Chatfield, who struck out six batters, effectively shutting down the opposition.

The Trojans’ offense was powered by standout performances from multiple players. Coleby Bunnell led the charge, going 2-4 at the plate and delivering a crucial three-run home run. Austin Patenaude also had a strong showing, matching Bunnell’s 2-4 performance and contributing two RBIs. Joey Grantmeyer and Willy Yahn added to the Trojans’ offensive momentum, each securing two hits. For Burlington, Ty Morin battled on the mound giving them a strong 5 innings of work, while Andrew Bunger (single and RBI) and George Zaruba (2 singles) led them on offense.
Naugatuck Scorpions 10    Torrington Thunder 9
Despite only getting three hits the game – the Naugatuck Scorpions walked away with their first ever Tri-State Victory. Derek Labeck, Luis Rodriguez, and Edison Oriz garnered the only hits for Naugy. Gabe Duncan and Tommy Gostkowski paced Torrington each drove in two runs apiece as the Thunder finished the game with nine hits. Naugatuck finished with 16 walks and turned a key double play in the ballgame. Thunder finished with 9 walks and 5 stolen bases as a team and also turned a crucial double play to end another threat.

Bethlehem Plowboys  9     Canton Crushers 2

Kyle Banche got the start for Bethlehem going 5 strong innings, allowing 2 runs and striking out 5. Angel Valentin took the hill for the crushers and bull dogged through pitching a complete game while adding 2 hits. The game was 3-2 after the top of the 5th when the Plow bats erupted in the bottom half putting 6 runs on the board to give closer Matt Sibilia some breathing room. Greg Campbell and Jon Wilson led the charge on the day with 2 hits a piece and Chase Belisle added a booming double as well as a bunt single. Jesse Swartout fresh out of college pinch hit late and came through with a 2 RBI double in the 5th to cap off a big Plow inning. The Plowboys take on the Tri Town Trojans next Thursday!

Amenia Monarchs 7     Valley Kraken 4

Monarchs improve to 1-1 on the season as they beat the Valley Kraken 7-4 at home. Amenia would start Colby Dunlop on the bump and would go 5 innings with 13ks. Aiden Damon would go 2 innings in relief to seal the deal for Monarchs. Amenia was down 3-2 in the bottom of 3rd till Ethan Lounsbury hit a 2 run double to put Amenia up. Monarchs would add another run on single by Alex Marino who went 2-4 with 3rbis. In the bottom of the 6th inning Amenia would add 2 more when high school softball coach Chris Osterman would hit a single and score. Dunlop would add a rbi single later on. Valley Kraken would threaten in the top of 7th when they scored a run and had bases loaded but Damon would get a fly ball to end the game for Amenia. Josh McCinn led Valley Kraken with 2rbis and went 2-3 on the day with a double

Wolcott Scrappers  3    CT Sliders 2       

Jayson Main singled to drive in Nick Sconziano, who had singled and went to 2nd on a wild pitch, with one out in the bottom of the 7th to give Wolcott a 3-2 walk off win over the Naugy Sliders. Main had 2 hits and Josh Dunne added a 2 run single in the first, that scored Sconziano and Dillon Fernandez, who had doubled. Six Wolcott pitchers combined on a 3 hitter with 8ks. For Naugy, starting pitcher Henry Marino allowed 2 runs on 3 hits and 10ks in 5 innings. Jaylen Kelley tied the game in the 6th with a frozen rope homer over the left field wall.
All other games rained out.
