Naugatuck 6 Tribury Cave 1
Kevin Murray pitched a complete game allowing 4 hits and 1 walk while striking out 11 to lead Naugy to a 6 to 1 win over Tribury. The Dogs were led by George Harlamon who went 1-1 with 2 RBI’s and Christian Cuevas 1-3 with an RBI single. Ryan Russell added 2 hits and Matt Lehane had an RBI double for Naugy. Rouso added two hits including a double and a run scored for Tribury.
Winsted Whalers 4 Northwest Orioles 2
On a hot evening in Winsted, the Whalers welcomed newcomers to the Tri State league, the Northwest Orioles. Northwest is based out of the Housatonic area, which is an area that Winsted traditionally draws players from. Playing with a chip on their shoulders, the Whalers were determined to show the Northwest players exactly what they were missing out on when they elected not to join the Whalers in 2019. Winsted promptly jumped out to a 2 run lead in the first inning and never looked back. Winsted was led at the plate by Johnny Lippincott (1/2, 2R). Also contributing a hit and an RBI each were; Austin Brochu, Tim Smith and Dan Williams. Austin Brochu pitched 7 strong innings for the Whalers, earning the win and keeping Northwest off balance. Terryville Black Sox 11 Bethlehem Plowboys 1
The Black Sox pitching stays hot with Andrew Hinckley tossing 6 innings of 2 hit ball while striking out 10, on the way to an 11-1 victory. Gavin Lavallee led the offense with 2 hits and 5 RBIs including a grand slam over the trees in left field at Eli Terry. Chris Callahan chipped in with a solo shot, Chris Ayer had 3 hits and 2 runs scored and Kyle Skidmore had 2 hits including a double and 2 RBI. Matt Mancini went 2-2 with arun scored for the Plow. The Black Sox finish the regular season Saturday against the Bristol Greeners.with looking to possible clinch up a #1 seed for the playoffs that may come down to tie-breaker run differential on the season.

Taylor Riley pitched a complete game Thursday night only giving up 4 hits Nick Michanczyk (1-3) 3B 3RBI Taylor Riley (3-3) Jimmy Spirito and Jake Bryant both had two hits for Canton. Torrington was lead by Shawn Grose (2-2) 2B

Burlington Hunters 6 Thunder Ducks 4
The Hunters topped the Thunder Ducks 6-4 thanks to a stellar pitching performance by Ty Mornin going 5.2 innings. Alex “Cobb” Hansen picked up the save in relief. The Hunters were led offensively by Steve Caruso (2/3, SB, R, RBI) and Brian “How is he still playing” O’Leary who set a Tri-State Record for oldest player to hit a double at the age of 75. O’Leary also contributed with a HBP bringing his Total to 14 on the year. Bob “O-Pedic” Hansen made the bold choice of using a pen to do the book and in true veteran form did not cross out anything once. For the Thunder Ducks, Ty Pelletier started on the mound and quieted the Hunters bars for 4 plus innings. He also contributed at the plate (2/3, 2R). Joevanni Torres also has a big day at the plate for the Thunder Ducks ( 2/4, RBI, 2B)
