Valley Thunder 13   Winsted Whalers 10

After the Whalers put up a 7-run 1st inning led by Andrew Billig (3 for 5, RBI, 2 R) and Dan Williams (3 for 5, 2 2B), the Thunder settled down and locked in to score 12 runs in a 6 inning come-from-behind win led by Ricky Parenteau (3 for 5, 5 SB, 3 R, 2 RBI) and Joe Kwaak, who settled in after a rough 1st inning to pitch a solid 6 innings. Tyler Pelletier threw the remaining 3 innings and scored the win (2-0) for the Thunder.

Blasius Chevrolet 2   Bristol Greeners 1

A beautiful Sunday morning at the Hotch produced a pitcher’s duel that saw both teams struggle to generate offense. In the third inning Connor Goggin would reach on a fielder’s choice and steal second. A Mike Vaccavelli single would put the home team in the lead. In the bottom of the fourth Blasius would load the bases with no one out on a hit batter, a single, and a base on balls. However, Bristol starter Jerry Lapenta would get Fran Phalen to ground into a 6-4-3 double play. The double play would plate Paul Novakowski making it 2-0, but would keep Blasius from having what looked like a big inning. The game would remain that way until the until the ninth as Blasius was not able to get anything else against Lapenta. At the same time Bristol had even less luck against Blasius first three pitchers of the day Will Aldem (2-0), Fran Phalen, and Gary Novakowski who combined to give up three hit and strike out 10 over the first 8 innings. Bristol would finally get a rally going in the top of the ninth off Blasius closer Kellen Croce when Corey Plasky would lead off with a walk and a steal of second. One out later AJ Lorenzetti would single driving in Plasky making it a one run game. Croce would lock down the save by getting a ground ball to third and a weak looping pop up to second to end the game. Blasius moves to 4-1 on the season. The boys are back in action Thursday night as they travel to Bethlehem (2-2) to face the Plowboys at 5:45 pm at Gallop Field.

Bethlehem Plowboys 5   Canton Crushers 0

Ty Erikson went 7 innings recording 8 K’s, 2 hits, and zero walks and Rob Geraci pitched the last two innings as the Plow Shutout the Crushers in Canton. Teddy Gravel had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s, Matt Mancini  had a 2 run triple while Jon Wilson reached base 3 times and stole 3 bases. Jimmy Spirito had one of the two hits for Canton.

Terryville Black Sox 4    Wolcott Scrappers 0

Kody Kerski continued his successful season throwing 8innings and Striking out 12 leading the Sox to victory. Terryville got on the board in the 4th thanks to a Justin McCoulloh (2-4 2B 2RBI) Sac fly who also doubled in the 8th plating a run. Christian Callahan homered in the 7th and Andrew Hinckly struck out the side in the 9th and chipped in with an RBI single. Nichol, Clark, and Garcia had wolcott‘ three singles on the day.

Naugatuck Dogs 6     Southington 66ers 4

Tyler Boisvert pitched a complete game allowing 4 runs, 2 earned, on 10 hits while striking out 13 to lead Naugy to a 6-4 victory over Southington at Rec Park. Ryan Plourde got the Dogs on the board in the 1st with a 2 run home run. Plourde and Ryan Russell each had 3 hits for Naugy. Christian Cuevas and George Harlamon singled and added an RBI each for the Dogs and Devin Murphy added 2 hits and a sac fly. B Hampson went 4-4 with 4 singles for Southington.

Northwest Orioles 12   Torrington Rebels 6

The Orioles got an early 7-1 lead and held on to win 12-6 in a shortened 7 inning game due to lack of daylight. Adam Antonini allowed 1 earned run over the first 4 innings and Anthony Robarge finished out the final 3 innings for the win. On the offensive side, Brendan Dempsey led the way with a 4 for 4 day, while Dan Litchfield notched the Orioles first Tri-State Home Run.
