The game would remain that way until the until the ninth as Blasius was not able to get anything else against Lapenta. At the same time Bristol had even less luck against Blasius first three pitchers of the day Will Aldem (2-0), Fran Phalen, and Gary Novakowski who combined to give up three hit and strike out 10 over the first 8 innings. Bristol would finally get a rally going in the top of the ninth off Blasius closer Kellen Croce when Corey Plasky would lead off with a walk and a steal of second. One out later AJ Lorenzetti would single driving in Plasky making it a one run game. Croce would lock down the save by getting a ground ball to third and a weak looping pop up to second to end the game. Blasius moves to 4-1 on the season.
