Saturday July 21
Final Scores:
Blasius Chevrolet 4 Canton Crushers 1
Blasius closed out the regular season with a win they needed 4-1. Jay Lafontaine pitched 8 1/3 strong innings, just needing the help of a tough 2 pitch save from Gary Novakowski. The offense was lead by Fran Phelan and Jeff Fonti. The pairs pregame adjustments of going the other way and with a knee brace help them account for 2 runs and 2 RBI’s.
The win qualified Blasius for the state tournament which gets underway next Sunday July 28th. As always we want to thank our fans and sponsors for the support. The season could not have been the success it was without you.
