Tyler Smith threw a complete game striking out seven. Matt Warren singled and homered driving in four. Angel Torres added an RBI single. Ben Sullivan had an RBI for Canton. Wolcott improves to 7-4, Canton drops to 1-9.
Valley Thunder 10 Burlington Hunters 9
Valley thunder improved to 5-4 with a big win over the Burlington Hunters. The valley thunder took a 7-0 lead behind Nick Forino’s 3 run home run. Nick also pitched 5 solid innings to earn his first win of season. The Hunters fought back behind Ty Morin (1-4 with a double) and Steve Caruso (2-3). Matt Meier came in for the thunder to close the game and got the save.

East Mountain Cougars 4-0 7-6 Bristol Greeners
Luke Shaffer pitched a complete game 1 hitter and also doubled and tripled as the East Mountain Cougars defeated the Bristol Greeners 4-0. Jerry LaPenta pitched 6 strong innings for Bristol. In completion of a suspended game Shaffer homered and had 3 hits and Rob Taylor scored the winning run as the Cougars beat the Greeners 7-6. AJ Lorenzetti had 3 hits and scored 3 runs for the Greeners.
Winsted Whalers 11 Amenia Monarchs 2
Jeff Negron pitch 7 strong innings for Winsted, spreading out 6 Hits and 4ks while only giving up 2 runs. Amenia was lead at the plate by; A. Thrasher (2BB, 1H), C. Reed (1R, 1H), L. Thrasher (1RBI, 1H) and T. Smith (1RBI, 1H). Winsted was lead at the plate by; Austin Brochu (2H, 3R), John Lippincott (2H, 2R), Devin Warren (3H, 2RBI) and John Ambrozatis (2H.)

Litchfield cowboys won 3-0 tonight against Southington. Eddie Pequignot pitched a complete game shutout striking out 5 giving up 4 hits. Brooks Belter hit a solo homerun in the 4th that may have been aided by the wind. Drew Gauvain and Dan Hedden added insurance runs with clutch RBI singles in the 6th. Pat Raymond had 2 hits for Southington.

Terryville Black Sox 16 Torrington Rebels 3
The Black Sox jumped out to a quick lead scoring nine runs in the first inning on their way to
a 16-3 victory Kyle Tehan led the offense with 4 hits while Chris Callahan and Matt Radke added three hits apiece.
Zach Dandrea and Billy Armstrong also chipped in with 2 hits apiece. Kyle Skidmore added a two run home run. Jake
Kawiecki picked up his first win of the season.
