Pat O’Neill threw six innings giving up just one hit with six strikeouts. Greg Campbell was 3-3 (3RBI), Mike Milius 3-3 (2 RBI), and Will Gursky had a 3 RBI double. John Lippincott doubled for the Whalers.
Terryville Black Sox 3 Southington 66ers 2
The Southington 66ers jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the Terryville Black Sox in the 4th inning behind a Tim Jalbart Single, Josh Dobratz walk and 2 RBI single by Dave Randazzo. Zach Albin and Kyle Dube held the Black Sox bats down until the 6th inning where the Sox were able to rally to score 3 runs. Connor McEvoy lead off with a walk followed by doubles by Tony Patane, Ian Schmidt and Chris Comeau. The Kerski brothers, Kody and Kenny combined to scatter 3 hits while striking out 16. Kyle Skidmore and Tyler Wenz added hits for the Sox.
Litchfield Cowboys 10 Burlington Hunters 1
On a cold rainy night, Mike Odenwaelder threw a solid six innings and Alex “the tower” Milne came in to close it out. Milne is averaging 18k/9innings. Drew Gauvain, Brian Hungerford, and Dan Hedden drove in nearly all of the Cowboys runs. Burlington mounted a comeback in the sixth inning that was thwarted by a laser throw to the plate by Colin Dickenson to end the inning. The Cowboys host the Rebels Saturday morning at 11am.
Bristol Greeners\East Mountain Cougars
Suspended in bottom of the sixth inning when lights at Naugatuck High School did not go on. Per MLB rulebook – treating this as a power failure – which is a suspended game. Both teams agree to a suspended game. East Mountain currently leads 5-3 after five innings. Game will be finished TBD.
Tri-Town Trojans 8 Canton Crushers 0
Trojans came out swinging against canton Thursday putting up 8 runs on 10 hits. Landon Gardella got it all started with a Home Run in the 2nd inning and Casey McDonald followed up with a 2 RBI double in the 3rd. Miles Scribner pitched 6 innings for the Trojans striking out 7 and only giving up 4 hits. Dan Livingston came in for the 7th to shut the door going 1-2-3 with 1 K. Sam Shurberg, Gardella (2 RBIs), and McDonald( 2 RBIs)each had 2 hits to lead the Trojans at the plate. Taylor Riley gave the crushers a strong six and Sean Bahre added a double at the plate.
Valley Thunder 16 Torrington Rebels 6
Torrington started off the game with a 2-run single by Greg Bodner (1 for 2, HBP, 2 RBI). Johnny Griffin (1 for 1, 2 BB, 2 R, SB) led off the second inning with a walk and stolen base that started the 7 run outburst for the Thunder, topped off by Matt Meier’s 2 Run HR (5 for 5, HR, 4 RBI). Meier also went 5 innings pitched, striking out 5 and only giving up 3 runs on 2 hits for his 1st win of the campaign and first win for Valley Thunder. Also for the Thunder, Nick Forino (1 for 4, 2B, BB, 3 RBI) and Kyle Daddona (1 for 4, 2 RBI) contributed to the win. For Torrington, Ben Stone (1 for 3, 2 RBI) contributed to the Rebels offense in the loss.
Wolcott Scrappers 2 Amenia Monarchs 1
Justin Koutros threw seven innings scattering seven hits and striking out three to lead Wolcott as they improve to 3-0 on the season. Ryan Soucy and Mike Vaccarelli each had an RBI single while Matt Warren singled, stole a base and scored a run. Mackenzie Dunlop pitched well in relief striking out nine in four innings of relief including four strikeouts in the 4th inning.
Naugatuck Dogs 16 Tribury Twisters 2
Ryan Plourde and Devin Murphy led the Dogs at the plate with 2 hits and 3 RBI’s each as Naugy beat Tribury 16-2 at Rotary Field. Sean Miller-Jones, Kyle Murphy, and Brendan Slattery each had 2 hits and 2 RBI for Naugy while Ryan Russell added a 3 RBI triple. Tom Rinaldi singled and walked for Tribury.

Tribury Twisters 3 Torrington Rebels 2
Vin Lombardi picking up the win on the mound with four innings of relief – also adding an RBI single. Mike Rosa and Kevin Johnson both added with RBI singles while Nate Zappone chipped in with two doubles. Ian Pierce was the hard luck loser allowing just one earned run over 5 2/3 innings for the Rebels. Centerfielder Nick Yousefzadeh made two diving catches to back up Pierce defensively. Roberto Santiago doubled for Torrington and Austin Patenaude added a two run single.
