Blasius Chevrolet clinches the Tri-State #3 seed in the Stan Musial State Tournament that begins Monday July 24.
Blasius Chevrolet defeats the Torrington Rebels 3-1 last night. Blasius was led by Gary Novakowski throwing a complete game with 11k’s with 1 unearned run. Team Blasius got on the board in the bottom of the third on a Eric Rovinetti single scoring Lou Serrano. Both Justin McCulloch and Paul Novakowski came away with 2 hits a piece. The go ahead run came in the bottom of the 6th on a single by Paul Novakowski scoring Justin McCulloch from third. Attendance was an astounding 13 under threatening rain skies. Tribury Twisters 5 Valley Thunder 2
Dom Mascola started the game for the tribury twisters going two innings allowing one run. Tom Rinaldi then threw 3 innings allowing one run and Zach Goldberg finished the game collecting the win. Offensively for the Twisters Nate Zappone had an RBI double. Evan Devico and Dom Mascola both singled. Tom Rinaldi had a RBI sac fly and a solo homerun. For the valley thunder, brothers Matt and Mike Meier led the way both collecting hits. The Tribury Twisters won 5-2 and play next SATURDAY at Torrington 12noon Fuessenich Park.

Brendan Slattery led the Dogs going 3-3 with a double and 7 RBI’s. Ryan Plourde (4 runs) and Kyle Murphy (3 R, 3B, RBI) each added 2 hits for Naugy. Steve Caruso had 2 hits for Burlington.
