Chatfield returns to throw no-hitter

Sunday June 4 – Veteran Bobby Chatfield took the mound for the Trojans for his first start of the season, and boy was it a memorable one! Chatfield threw a complete game (9 inning) No-hitter against the Black sox. Chatfield struck out 7 and the 1 run Terryville got across the plate was unearned. The Trojans offense was led by Casey McDonald(2-5, 3runs), Steve Price(2-5, run scored), Danny McCarty(2-5, run scored). Charlie Benson picked up his 2nd win of the season for the Blaze (5-0) going 7 innings, scattering 6 hits, while allowing 1 run on the way to a 4-2 Blaze win. Matt Quintana picked up his 2nd save. Conor McEvoy led the offense with 2 hits and Darryl Wilson walked twice and scored 2 runs. Karl Quist and Ed Pequignot each had 2 hits for Litchfield (2-2).
