Watertown Blaze 7 East Mountain Cougars 4
Kellen Parkinson led the Watertown Blaze to a 7-4 victory over the East Mountain Cougars with 2 hits and 3 RBI. Conor McEvoy and Kyle Pelkey each added two hits for the Blaze.
Canton Crushers 3 Thomaston Threshers 2

Pitcher Jake Bryant scattered five hits, struck out five and hit his first Tri-State League home run to help the Canton Crushers win their first game of the season Thursday evening at Bowdoin Field. The Crushers beat the Thomaston Threshers, 3-2, throwing out the potential tying run in the bottom of the seventh inning to secure the victory. With two outs, the Threshers put a runner on base thanks to a walk and he moved to second base thanks to a passed ball. But Canton reliever Heath Cotton caught the runner leaning off second base and threw him out to end the game and secure the win for the Crushers, now 1-6. Taylor Riley had a heck of game. He was 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles for the Crushers. Sean Bahre and Nick Stockman added RBI singles.

Terryville Black Sox 8 Litchfield Cowboys 3
Terryville didn’t get off to the start they are used to, but they got the result they wanted. Litchfield struck early in the first when Pailla, Hungerford, Harrison, and Colin Dickenson connected for 4 straight hits to start the game plating two runs. The rest of the game was controlled by Billy Armstrong now 5-0 on the season as he went 7 innings with 7 strikeouts and was 2-4 with an RBI at the plate for the Black Sox. After taking a 3-2 lead in the fourth inning, Terryville added 3 runs in the fifth inning which included Zach Dandrea’s home run. Jake Wright and Mike Morrison added an RBI each.
Tribury Twisters 3 Burlington Hunters 0
Dom Mascola pitched a 7 inning shutout and Ben Brown was 1-2 with 2 RBI for the Twisters.
Wolcott Scrappers 10 Valley Thunder 0
Matt Finkenzeller fired a shutout striking out 10 to lead Wolcott. Israel Lugo and Ryan Soucy led the offense with 2 hits, 2 RBI and a run each. Eric Soucy added a 2 run triple and a run scored. Matt Meier took the loss for Valley. Wolcott improves to 5-3.
Naugatuck Dogs 9 Bethlehem Plowboys 3
Jeff Sturm pitched six innings allowing 3 runs on 3 hits while striking out 5 to lead Naugy to a 9-3 victory over Bethlehem at Rotary Field. Sean Miller-Jones and George Harlamon led the Dogs with 2 hits and 3 RBI’s each. Jeff Sturm tripled and Ryan Russell added a 2 RBI double for Naugy. Chris Callahan had a 3 RBI double for Bethlehem.
