Cowboys win over Thunder Baseball 3-0. Kevin Murray threw a complete game shut out. Victor Rodriguez had a SAC fly while Dustyn Marfyack and Stanley Rijo added RBI singles.
Terryville Black Sox 3 Winsted Whalers 1
Terryvilles bats finally broke through against Winsteds Austin Brochu in a 3run fourth inning led by Billy Armstrong 3-3 2rbi and Ian Schmidts RBI double. Kenny Kerski (2-0) threw 5 innings of no hit baseball. Winsteds only hit came from Tim Smith in the 6th. Winsted threated in the 7th loading the bases with two out. Teryvillle went to Billy Armstrong to record the final out.
Bristol Greeners 2 East Mountain Cougars 1
Bristol’s Jerry Lapenta picked up the victory Tuesday evening at Bristol Central High School with a 2-1 victory over the East Mountain Cougars. Reid Roberge started the game for Bristol and worked a scoreless first two innings before giving way to Lapenta. Lapenta threw four strong innings, allowing just one run and striking out seven. Tom Curtin closed the game for Bristol and notched his first save of the season.
Bristol’s AJ Lorenzetti walked to lead-off the bottom of the second and advanced to third after back-to-back singles off the bats of Roberge and Noah Fradette. Lorenzetti then scored on a sac fly off the bat of Lapenta. Bristol would tack on their only other run in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a RBI single off the bat of Fradette which plated Kyle Pileski who lead-off the inning with a single.
Anthony Moura picked-up the hard-luck complete game loss for the East Mountain Cougars. Moura allowed just six hits in his complete game effort and struck out six. The Cougars scored their lone-run in the top of the sixth after an RBI single off the bat of AJ Petrillo who had two hits in the game. Both teams are back in action on Thursday with the East Mountain Cougars hosting the Wolcott Strappers at Crosby H.S., while Bristol will travel to Wolcott and take on the Valley Thunder.

Matt Finkenzeller went six scoreless innings, allowing five hits and striking out eight to lead Wolcott. Elvis Martinez had a two run single, while Ryan Soucy had three hits and a run scored and Eric Soucy chipped in with two singles.
Naugatuck Dogs 14 Burlington Hunters 0
Jeff Sturm pitched 6 shut out innings allowing 3 hits white striking out 5 to lead Naugy to a 14-0 win over Burlington at Rotary Field. The Dogs were led by Jeff Sturm, Ryan Plourde, and George Harlamon who all had three hits a piece. Sean Miller-Jones, Kyle Murphy, Macky Cianciolo, and Christian Cuevas each added two RBI’s for Naugy. Steve Caruso and Alex Hanson singled for Burlington.

Bethlehem Plowboys 1 Tri-Town Trojans 0
The Plowboys needed only one run for the victory behind a stellar pitching performance by Jesse Darcy. Darcy threw a complete game shut out striking out 13 batters and facing the minimum. Darcy’s lone hit he gave up in the first was quickly erased after he picked off the base runner to end the 1st inning. Bethlehem scored its lone run in the 4th inning when Mike Chiovitti lead off the inning with a single followed by a ground rule double by Christian Callahan. After a ground out to third base for the first out Teddy Gravel hit a Sac Fly to Right Field to plate Chiovitti.
