Torrington Rebels 2 Southington 66ers 1
The Torrington Rebels picked up their second win of the season Tuesday night at Fuessenich Park against the Southington 66’ers. In an instant classic, Cody Lemieux (Torrington) and Jamie Butler (Southington) were locked into a tight pitchers duel until the Rebels broke through with a two out, two RBI single by Adam Fuoco in the fourth inning. The score would stand until the seventh when Southington’s bats finally broke through scoring one, and loading the bases with two outs. Rich Martinelli lined a shot up the middle, only to find the diving glove of Jake Narvesen who threw to second for the final out. The Rebels improved to 2-0 while the 66’ers dropped to 1-1.
