Bristol 6, Waterbury 2: The Bristol Greeners (6-4) split their doubleheader on Saturday afternoon defeating Waterbury Wild (10-4) 6 to 2 behind a dominant pitching performance by Brian Wyrebek. Wyrebek went the distance for the Greeners, allowing just 2 hits and striking out eight. The Greeners struck for two runs in the first inning off Wild’s Jim Dimon after Dave Casanova reached on an error, Tyler Bush (2-3) singled, and TJ Wyrebek (2-3, SB) drove him home with an RBI groundout. Marco Ross (2-3, 2 RBI) plated Bush with a single of his own to left center. Jimmy Hahn also had a pair of hits for Bristol.
