Sunday June 16th
Tri-Town 3, Bristol 0: Casey McDonald 1-2 Double, Sac Fly RBI, Kyle Savo 3for3, John Callahan Double for Tri-Town, Dave Casanova had two hits in the loss.
Tri-Town 2, Litchfield 1: Casey McDonald 2-4 with a sac fly, Steve Price 1-3 RBI double. Collin Dickinson and Colin Driscoll both doubled for Litchfield in the loss.
Thomaston 7, Ansonia 6: Ryan Hurlbert was the winning pitcher with six k’s over four innings, and added a two RBI double in the bottom of the eighth. Jessie Vermeeichi was 2-5 with a single and a double. Will Sirotnak was 3-5 with three singles and an RBI and had the winning RBI single. Andy Romano was
2-5 with a single, double and two RBI’s. Ryan Skelly pitcher for Ansonia got the no decision. He scattered five hits while walking four and striking out six. John Hayde was 3-3 with three singles, and was the losing pitcher with three k’s pitching the eighth and ninth. Brian Dobek added three singles for Ansonia.
Waterbury 4, Prospect 0: Nick Boucher pitched seven scoreless innings and Mannny Cruz closed that last two to complete the shutout. Shane Kingsley had two hits and three RBI and Brad DeVito had two hits and two runs scored for Waterbury. Angel Valentin doubled for Prospect and Jake Livoski pitched well in defeat.
Wolcott 2, Watertown 1: Adam LaCapra had a one out walkoff RBI single to give Wolcott the win. Erik Sehnal threw a three hitter, one being a two out RBI single to Mike Mastrocola in the top of the 9th to tie the game at 1. Jay Spear pitched well in the defeat giving up one hit and an unearned run in seven innings. Dan Reel took the loss for Watertown.
Torrington 5, Bethlehem 3: The Torrington Rebels picked up their third win of the season, defeating the Bethlehem Plow Boys 5-3. Torrington’s Dan Livingston earned the victory, pitching a complete game with six strikeouts. Alan Fredriksson went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Curtis Anthony went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Bethlehem’s Pat O’Neil pitched strong despite getting the loss. O’Neil pitched 7 1/3 innings, striking out seven. Torrington is 3-4, Bethlehem is 5-3.
Lakeville 2, Tribury 1: Lakeville picked up the victory against Tribury on a walk-off base hit. Lakeville’s Brandon Coe pitched six strong innings with Wilson Terrol earning the win by pitching the seventh.
Terryville 5, Burlington 0: Billy Armstrong went 9 innings with 9 K’s and 1 BB allowing just 2 hits for the complete game shutout. Tom Notchick was 2-3 with a 3 run Home Run while John Augelli had 2 hits including a double.
