Terryville Blacksox 3, Prospect Chargers 2: Marshall Szyndlar tossed five innings with 11 strikeouts as the Blacksox topped the Chargers at Terryville High. John Augelli had a base hit with an RBI and Billy Armstrong picked up the save with one inning and striking out four for Terryville (5-0). Dan Wood pitched six strong innings for Prospect (0-4).
Bethlehem Plowboys 3, Litchfield 0: Tony Geraci hit an RBI single, scoring Dan Goscinski, and Jon Conlon added a two-run double, scoring Christian Callahan and Geraci, in the top of the eighth for Bethlehem. Pat O’Neill threw a complete-game shutout for the Plowboys (3-1). Eric Hungerford took loss for Litchfield (2-3). Adam Claire had two hits for Litchfield.
Tri-Town Trojans 3, Ansonia Vikings 0: Landon Gardella had an RBI single in the second and Kyle Osolin had a safety squeeze, scoring Kyle Savo, in the fifth. Miles Scribner allowed two hits in 4 2/3 innings of relief and Troy Scribner didn’t allow a hit in two innings of relief for Tri-Town. Savo had two hits and a run scored for Tri-Town. Alex Miller and Chris Chieffo had hits for Ansonia.
Wolcott 9, Torrington 1: Matt Finkenzeller threw a complete game allowing four hits and striking out seven to lead Wolcott at Fussenich park Tuesday night. Kyle Dean had three RBI including a two run single, Adam LaCapra had an RBI double and Mike Meier had two hits including a two run homerun. Cody Santore had an RBI triple for Torrington.
Waterbury Wild 8 Naugatuck 2: Jim Dimon pitched 6 innings allowed four hits and one earned run and recorded eleven strikeouts,Manny Cruz had two hits including a homerun, John DiGiovanni had two hits and two RBI and Shane Kingsley had two hits and two RBI for Waterbury. Jeff Rustico had two hits and Macky Cianciolo added a double for Naugatuck.
