Kenny Martinik went the distance giving up seven hits while striking out four as the Threshers topped the Greeners at Muzzy Field in Bristol. Will Sirotnik went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored while Andy Romano chipped in with a double, single and two runs scored for Thomaston. Dave Casanova went 3-for-3 while Marco Rose contributed two hits and two runs scored for Bristol.

Bristol defeated Wolcott 2-0 on Thursday night at Muzzy Field behind Justin Tacinelli’s second complete-game shutout of the season. The Bristol righthander scattered 5 hits and a walk while striking out 3 to improve his record to 3-0 on the season. The game remained scoreless into the bottom of the sixth until John Pastyrnak (1-3, 2 RBI) finally broke through with a two-run bases-loaded single against Scrappers starter Zach Sehnal (6 IP, 6 H, 7 K). Tacinelli pitched out of several jams with the help of his defense, highlighted by a pair of run-saving plays from third baseman Dan Rosa (1-2, R) and several running catches from centerfielder Dave Casanova (2-3, 2B). Sam Iverson’s two hits led the way for the Scrappers, while Erik Sehnal and Ryan Andrade each went 1-2.
