Litchfield Cowboys 7 Burlington Hunters 4
Two days after losing for the first time this season, Litchfield scored three runs in the top of the seventh to beat Burlington at Lewis Mills High School in Burlington. Chris Blazek smacked a tie-breaking two-run double in the seventh. Karl Quist was 2-for-4 with a double for the Cowboys (13-1). Ben Murphy picked up the win in relief of Kyle Robinson. Murphy and Robinson combined to strike out 14 batters. Murphy struck out the side to end the game.
Matt Dablin went 2-for-3 to lead the Hunters (2-11). Adam Peters added a double.
Terryville Black Sox 9 Waterbury Wild 3
Terryville picked up a big win over Waterbury at home. Kevin Larose had three hits, including a triple, and a run batted in to lead the Black Sox (5-7). Andrew Tremblay tripled and drove in two runs while Pat Mulcahy added a double and two RBI. Tyler Wenz picked up the win. The Wild fall to 9-4.
Tri-Town Trojans 4 Watertown Blaze 3
Miles Scribner picked up the win allowing just 2 earned runs, scattering 5 hits over 8 innings of work as Tri-Town won its second straight game in their last at-bat to down the Blaze 4-3. The Trojans scored the winning run on a throwing error in the bottom of the eighth inning. Nick Lahoud singled, doubled, and tripled to lead the Trojans offense and Kyle Osolin added a double. Chris Comeau tripled and Johnny LoVetere doubled for Watertown.
Wolcott Scrappers 3 Brass City Brew 1
Zach Sehnal threw a complete game allowing 4 hits and striking out 4. Wolcott had 13 hits and was lead by Mike Perugini having 2 hits and 2 RBI, Ryan Soucy had 2 hits and 2 runs scored and Erik Sehnal also added 2 hits. Eric Soucy and Mike Vaccarelli doubled and Rob Silas had an RBI also. For Brass City, Gary Novakowski went the distance and also had the only RBI on a Sac Fly with an error in the 7th. Brass City had the bases loaded with 2 outs before Eric Rovinetti lined out to right to end the game.
