Tri-State impacts Torrington Titans roster
Just as the Torrington Twisters have done in the past, the FCBL Titans have landed a few Tri-State league players on their roster and will use the Tri-State league as a ‘farm system’ for their team. Two Bethlehem Plowboys find themselves on the current roster, pitchers Kyle Capaldo and Tyler Erikson. Amenia’s Bobby Chatfield and Spencer Kane from Wolcott will also join the Titans in 2011. A third player, shortstop Adam Claire of the Litchfield Cowboys is on the Titans radar after playing with the ACBL Titans in 2010. Congrats to the players and best of Luck!
NOTE: Dozens of current and former Tri-State league players have played summer ball in the NECBL, FCBL, ACBL, and the Cape Cod league.
Brooks Belter, who pitched for the 2010 Torrington Titans after landing a spot on the team as a walk-on has been drafted in the 25th round of the major league draft by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Belter also pitched for the Winsted Whalers in 2010 including an appearance in the post-season. Brooks attended Housatonic High School and his father Jim is a member of the Torrington Board of Umpires. Congrats!
